Summer giveaway – TGIF friends! I am back from our summer holiday – Wedding getaway in fantastic Malta last week. We came back on Monday so I am still adjusting to my routine back.
Oh it was so amazing! we were invited to a beautiful Scottish-Maltese Wedding (as you probably saw on my stories) we had such a great time and it was great to see our friends, also we had the opportunity to explore Valetta which was absolutely charming.
This is not-sponsored in anyway but I will mention the place where we stayed because I think it would be an ideal option if you happen to go to Malta in the future. We stayed at Sally Port Suites, a Hotel boutique in the heart of Valetta. We loved it, it was the perfect location to connect to the Ferries to the other islands, walk to the city center or just enjoy some wine up in the terrace with the 360 degrees view of the city.
I absolutely recommend this place to stay, particularly if you are travelling with kids (we were not) but I know many of you have babies, so this is perfect as you have an elevator, and also a bigger space and a kitchen equipped with fridge and appliances that are so needed when you travel with your small ones. Our room also had a balcony that made it even more attractive.
It’s so exciting to travel to a totally new country, I can’t help but always feel so so grateful for living in a time where this is possible and having the opportunity to see such beautiful places. Malta in particularly stunning with it’s picturesque beauty and rich history but most importantly, with their friendly and welcoming people.
We wanted to try an Italian place that had amazing reviews for our last dinner, it was called Zero Sei . When we arrived there, we saw a handwritten sign that said:” We speak poor English, but we make a great Carbonara” My husband said:” babe you are going to have to use your (seriously you guys, my Italian is very poor) Italian” well it turns out that their English was perfect! they were just too humble. Those are the people you tip well! the food was fantastic, and you could go to the cellar and choose your own bottle of wine. I was in little heaven!
Forgive me if this post has gotten too long, I just have so many fresh memories, we really didn’t want to comeback so soon. As you can see in my photos, the weather was amazing and we so needed the sun.
