Good morning everyone! the countdown for Christmas has officially began and I cannot be more excited! Today in particular as I get to show you this fun collaboration of Christmas Brunch I had last week with one of my very favorites food brands in Prague.
Christmas time is the occasion to be with family and friends and nothing better than do it around the table. As a big foodie myself and coming from a family that loves house parties, I’m constantly finding excuses to have people over and celebrate. I was so happy that my girlfriends were such good sports about it and joined me.
Delmart has become one of my favorite places to shop for groceries since I live in Prague. Not only are the stores designed with enough space to move across the aisles and clear product distribution, which when you are in a hurry getting a few things after a long day at work, it comes really handy. But also they strictly select the companies they work with to have the highest standards of quality and diversity available.
Imagine how excited I was to find in store products such as: Maple syrup to have with my delicious pancakes, coconut peanut butter, coconut water, hummus, avocado oil .. just to name a few. And believe it or not these things are not that easy to find here. I like that the store carries so many organic products, particularly the fruit and vegetables section and “very important” wheat free products.
For this Christmas brunch we had a simple menu that it was easy to prepare, healthy and so festive!
Christmas Brunch Menu
lots of mimosas (you just combine orange juice with Prosecco, done!) Also have some rosé (girls love rosé)
salad: 1 mix of colorful salad, sliced green apple, cranberries and a mix of nuts. (add sweet dressing)
scramble eggs: (mix in a bowl enough eggs for everybody, milk, salt and pepper, preheat a pan with a little bit of olive oil, and the secret is to slowly cook them)
Asparagus; place about 12 fresh asparagus in an oven sheet. (make sure you cut the ends) wrap the bacon add salt and pepper and put them in the oven at 200 degrees for about 25 min.
pancakes:
-
- 3 tablespoons (1 1/2 ounces) unsalted butter, melted.
-
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar.
-
- 3/4 teaspoon salt.
-
- 1 large egg.
-
- 2/3 cup milk.
-
- 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon Irish cream liquor (such as Baileys)
-
- 1 3/4 cup (7 ounces) cake flour.
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder.
Add berries!
A nice selection of pastries and croissants for your guests to enjoy is always nice to have. I also love having non-alcoholic drinks as an option for those friends who are not into drinking. These Rose lemonades are a delight and so feminine to add to any girl’s party also the Peppermint tea is a must for December. You can find all these products and more in Delmart stores around Prague.
That’s it! nice Christmas music (I’m obsess with Sia’s Everyday is Christmas album) and some little present for them and you are set to go! I hope this post inspires you to have your own party! Wishing you all a fantastic holiday season! xoxo
Thank you Delmart for Sponsoring this post.
