February has always been one of my favorite months of the year, and not only because of Valentine’s Day. When I was little we had Summer time and we were usually on vacation from School / College, so my sister and I will spend countless days at the beach, having ice cream and playing rackets. It was so nice!
Valentine’s day was not celebrated when I was very little, but it became more important when I was in high school. Omg! I remember one year, I must have been like 14, that I received this amazing bouquet of red roses in my house for Valentine’s day, and I was not dating anybody so it was a total surprise! And even more intriguing because I had no idea who they were from. My sister was dating my (now) brother in law, so when the delivery guy came, she was so happy! because she thought the roses were for her, hahaha. I still remember her face when she read the note and it had my name on it! Poor thing.
Anyways, to finish the story, later on I found out it was a boy I was not into at all, so that was the end of it. So funny to think the long road I have come from all that.
On a more positive note, I’ll be spending Valentine’s Day in London this year with my love, so excited! Last year we went to Vienna for a long Valentine’s weekend and we got to see “The kiss” by Gustav Klimt. It was by far the best Valentine’s ever! Not sure if this year London can beat that one, but we’ll see.
How adorable will it be to spend the morning with a Valentine’s day breakfast, cuddling in bed. If that is your plan for this year, or if you want to surprise your other half, here is a nice idea to spoil your special person and why not yourself!
To start with you can make these fun heart toasts using just a cookie cutter, it takes no effort at all and they look really cute! Fill them in with some mashed avocado. Natural yogurt and granola is one of my favorite things to have for breakfast, this is one of the best granola I have found in Prague, it is really reach and has tiny strawberry pieces, just delicious, add a little bit of honey for a special touch.
A combination of fruits, particularly berries are always great to add to your diet, I like also arrange them in a way where they can be displayed more beautifully, you can use a a larger plate to do this, there are many affordable options in the market and it really makes a difference.
Add some nice roses and a bottle of sparkling to complement this breakfast, macaroons also add a nice romantic touch, specially these white ones they look and taste delicious and voila! If you’re in Prague you can find all these delicious products at Delmart in their stores around the city (find more information in their website)
I hope you have a fantastic Day and enjoy that Valentine’s day breakfast. xoxo
Thank you Delmart for sponsoring this post.
The photos in this were so beautiful! Now I miss valentines day. Next year, I want my day to be just like yours here 😉
