I have been living in my new apartment, in my new city Prague for over two months now, and as Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) said “finding the perfect apartment is as difficult as finding the perfect men”. Well I have to say after weeks and weeks of search, and not without the help of our adorable realtor Radka; we finally did, and I’m so glad to call this place home. The best part about my new place is that it is so close to the center town, I can walk everywhere and right next to Letenske Sadi, which is perfect to go running while having the best views of this beautiful city, including a beer garden that comes on handy these hot Summer afternoons.
I’m so excited for all the things that will happen here, new friends, new recipes, new adventures and many many memories. I wanted to do this first post to try to show you the intimacy of home, that place where you can relax, cook and just rest. There is no place like home, and I hope to show you more about mine in my future posts.
Now talking about beauty, you all know I’m a big fan of Illamasqua makeup, I absolutely adore their colors, they have very nice oranges and pinks, perfect for this season, but most of all I like the dry texture and the lasting effect they have. I’m using “fable” in these pictures. This white body top, is one of my favorite things in white I have in my closet, the fabric is incredible, and the fit is amazing, what about the sexy back? It is amazing to use with a pencil skirt like in these pictures, but also with nice summer shorts and heels to go out for a cocktail. My leopard skirt always makes me feel feminine and chic, from Zara, it never goes out of style.
If you are a follower of poetry like me, I totally recommend you read Love Poems by Pablo Neruda. It’s an incredible book with gorgeous verses of this incredible poet. It’s also such a lovely present.
I’m a big fan of journals and I have several in my home, it makes me happy to comeback to them once in a while and read something from years ago, it feels fabulous to remember things that I wouldn’t remember if I didn’t write them down.
For some reason (I’m a goldfish freak) most of my notebooks are in gold haha. I particularly love this Christian Lacroix. It’s never too late to start writing. And at last, one of my favorite essences at home are always Diptyque candles, particularly the smell of mimosa. I’m very particular with smells and I don’t like strong scents, but this candle adds just the perfect tone to my new place.
I hope you guys enjoy your weekend, and I will see you next Monday. Xoxo
