Good morning everyone! my goodness is it just me or does everyone feel like this year is going way too fast? February was a glimpse for me with Valentine’s Day and a trip to Prague to see my girlfriends, and March is going on a roll with Mothers day approaching fast this coming March 31st in the United Kingdom.

I am so excited to show you these pictures of a little “girls day out” I had with me my mother in “love” (see what I did there?) last week to celebrate her for Mother’s day.

As many of you know, my Mum lives in Chile and unfortunately I won’t be able to be with her for Mothers day this year, so for us will be a long Skype call.

I wanted to celebrate Mothers day with my mother in “love” as she was going to be away for this day, travelling. I had a fabulous day planned for her, which I thought of sharing here in hopes it can give you some little ideas to celebrate with your Mum this year.

Started with the delivery of this stunning bouquet by Prestige flowers, which she absolutely adored and includes a sweet teddy bear and some delicious chocolates that complement the bouquet and made it a fantastic surprise.

We did a little shopping around Mayfair, which is always so fun to do with her since you are sure to get an honest opinion. We had a photoshoot at Maddox Gallery (one can never get too many memories with your love ones) I will treasure the pictures of this day with her for ever. It was so sweet to see her so excited posing for the camera.

We wanted to gift her something meaningful this year and something to cherish, I found this beautiful book by Emily Rollings, if you haven’t seen her shop I totally recommend it, as she is a small business owner creating amazing products full of creativity, like the one we bought. It’s called: Memories of your mother and basically it is a journal for Mums to record their life stories, words of wisdom and precious memories about their whole lives. The most special part is that it is meant to be a family heirloom. Super cute gift guys, totally worth checking out.

We had afternoon tea at Sketch. I have to admit, since I moved to the UK this has been one of my absolute favorite activities. I am planning to try as many places for afternoon tea just to know which one is the best, any recommendations?

If you’re looking for a “girly” place to spoil your Mum, this is definitely an excellent option, the décor is extraordinary and the service was lovely. The salon is very feminine, all in pink, which makes it the perfect place.

What are you getting for your Mum this Mothers day? what plans do you have for her? do you have any traditions you do every year? I would love to hear! let me know in the comments. Thank you for reading and have a great Tuesday everyone! xx
